The results of the development and analysis of a simple and intuitive pedestrian motion model designed for the formation of measurement data in the path calculation channel of the pedestrian strapdown inertial navigation system (SINS) have been presented. This model, together with the measurement errors model of SINS, allows testing various algorithms for channel measurements processing and evaluating the potential accuracy
of determining the current coordinates of a pedestrian for various variants of its movement. The mathematical description of the model has been given. The results of the modeling, that show the convenience of using the model and high accuracy of calculations, have been presented.
